The days are getting shorter again and the temperatures are dropping. With the arrival of autumn, the nutritional needs of the wild birds in our gardens also increase. High-fat feed with a high energy content is particularly important at this time of the year, as the birds use it to replenish their energy reserves for the upcoming winter.
In addition, our wild birds find less and less food in the wild as the supply of insects, fruits and grains decreases compared to the summer months. Thus, from autumn onwards, feeding wild birds is almost existential for many species.
