NEW: 100% recycled wild bird feeders

Wild bird feeding stations have become an integral part of most gardens. Whether made of plastic, metal, glass or ceramics - the materials used in the production of feeding stations are just as diverse as the colors and shapes of the tit ball holders, bird feeders, peanut dispensers or feed silos.

"Supporting nature" is the motto of many wild bird lovers. The Dutch company Esschert Design thought why not make a contribution to sustainability when manufacturing the feeding stations and developed the new, innovative feeding station series "100% recycled".

The feeding stations are made from old Tetra Paks, which are commonly considered difficult to dispose of due to the different layers of plastic, aluminum and cardboard. However, the raw material PEAL (polyethylene and aluminium) obtained from the Tetra Paks can also be processed into granules and thus be used again in plastics production.

If you calculate the material used in the 100% recycled feeding stations from Esschert Design, each feeding station consists of around 20 milk packs. Due to its plastic and metal content, the material is robust and weatherproof, making it ideal for outdoor use.

The recycled feeders are available in three versions in the Eggersmann Shop: as a dispenser for fat balls, for peanuts and as a feed silo for mixed grains.
