The wild bird feed creations from our "Heiner`s BESTE" product line combine the ingredients most popular with wild birds. Only high-quality, shell-less sunflower seeds, extra soft oat flakes and peanuts are processed in our Heiner`s Beste PREMIUMballs shell-less, ensuring variety on the wild birds' menu. This ingenious recipe guarantees a particularly fluffy and tender feed quality, which means that the dumplings can be easily picked even in colder temperatures. Due to the shell-less recipe, birds that have problems cracking their shells can also benefit from the feed. In addition, the birds do not leave any food remains in the form of shell residues, which means that the premium pellets can be eaten without residue. The PREMIUMballs can be offered to the garden birds all year round. Especially in spring and summer, during the breeding season, and in winter, this energy-rich food is needed by the birds and very readily accepted.

Our Heiner's Beste PREMIUMballs shell-less are suitable for feeding all year round! As these are always freshly produced natural products, the outside temperature also has an influence on the appearance of the dumplings.
It is possible that some dumplings may no longer have an "optimal" shape or may even be broken when you receive them. We would like to explain to you how this can happen.
Our grain balls are without additives and only have a "natural" binding due to the fat. Unfortunately, natural fat becomes softer at temperatures above 10°C and therefore the binding can weaken. Especially in summer at high temperatures, also in the delivery vehicle, it can happen in extreme cases that even all dumplings arrive damaged or broken!
In cold temperatures in winter, again, the balls may harden and become firmer. This makes them less likely to crumble or break. It can happen that the birds do not like to peck at the dumplings in the first few days.
It helps if you press the dumplings a little before laying them out so that they become a little more oval. This gives the birds a better "attack surface" for their beaks. Alternatively, crumble the dumplings and then place the crumbs in a shallow dish in the garden on the ground or mix them with the scatter feed. Of course, the birds will eat the broken titmouse dumplings just as readily as the whole ones.
Our tips for the warm season: o store the titmouse dumplings in a cool, dry place, e.g. in a cool cellar.
Our tips for the cold season: o store the titmouse dumplings in a dry place at about 15 degrees Celsius, press the titmouse dumplings lightly before hanging them up o protect the titmouse dumplings from moisture, e.g. with covered feeding places, to avoid icing.
Feeders should be cleaned regularly with hot water. If you offer food, please also think about drinking water for the birds. Especially in winter, when natural water sources such as puddles or water in gutters are frozen, birds also need an extra bowl of water. However, there is no need for an expensive bird bath at the bird feeder; a flower pot saucer or an old soup plate is perfect as a watering place. The water should be changed regularly.
Help for our wild birds
Fortunately, feeding our native wild birds is becoming more and more popular. This is because many people are not even aware that feeding birds all year round is absolutely essential for the survival of our feathered friends due to the significant changes in their habitats.
Thus, the Eggersmann animal feed team has also made it its business to make a valuable contribution to the protection of our wild birds.
In the beginning there was the Fat Ball
With the acquisition of the first own titmouse dumpling production plant in 2020, Heinrich Eggersmann quickly inspired the entire workforce and the Eggersmann volaris brand was born. As early as 2021, we were able to further expand our production capacity for tit dumplings. Thus, the 4th generation family business established itself as a major supplier in the field of bird feeding in a very short time.
Year round bird feeding for everyone
The Eggersmann volaris range now extends from the classic fat feed and scatter feed to fat Balls and muesli or nut bars. Due to the love of bird watching of each of our employees, we can prove the good acceptance of our volaris products with numerous tastings by a wide variety of wild birds.
Did you already know? Incidentally, the name Volaris is a combination of the Latin words volar (to fly) and molaris (millstone). Thus, the name forms a symbiosis of the decades and generations-spanning milling tradition of the Eggersmann family and the bird-typical characteristic of flying. |
