Unsere volaris KÖRNERkugeln sind für die ganzjährige Fütterung geeignet! Da es sich hierbei stets um frisch produzierte Naturprodukte handelt, hat auch die Außentemperatur einen Einfluss auf das Erscheinungsbild.
Es kann sein, dass bei Ihrer Lieferung einige Knödel keine "optimale" Form mehr haben oder gar gebrochen sind. Wir möchten Ihnen gerne erklären, wie es dazu kommen kann.
Unsere Körnerkugeln sind ohne Zusatzstoffe und haben nur eine "natürliche" Bindung durch das Fett. Leider wird natürliches Fett bei Temperaturen über 10°C weicher und daher kann die Bindung nachlassen. Besonders im Sommer bei hohen Temperaturen, auch im Zustellfahrzeug, kann es im Extremfall dazu kommen, dass sogar alle Knödel beschädigt oder gebrochen ankommen!
Bei kalten Temperaturen im Winter kann es wiederum dazu kommen, dass die Kugeln aushärten und fester werden. Dadurch können sie nicht mehr so leicht zerbröseln oder brechen. Es kann passieren, dass die Vögel in den ersten Tagen dann nicht so gerne an den Knödeln picken.
Hier hilft es, wenn man die Knödel vor dem Auslegen etwas andrückt, so dass diese etwas ovaler werden. Dadurch haben die Vögel eine bessere »Angriffsfläche« für ihre Schnäbel. Alternativ zerbröseln Sie die Knödel und legen die Brösel dann in einer flachen Schale in den Garten auf den Boden oder vermischen diese mit dem Streufutter. Natürlich fressen die Vögel auch die gebrochenen Meisen Knödel genau so gerne wie die Ganzen

Unsere Tipps für die kalte Jahreszeit: o lagern Sie die Meisen Knödel trocken, bei ca. 15 Grad, drücken Sie die Meisen Knödel vor dem Aufhängen leicht an o schützen Sie die Meisen Knödel, z.B. durch überdachte Futterstellen vor Nässe, um Vereisungen zu vermeiden
Die Futterstellen sollten regelmäßig mit heißem Wasser gereinigt werden. Wenn Sie Futter anbieten, denken Sie bitte auch an Tränkwasser für die Vögel. Gerade im Winter, wenn natürliche Wasserquellen wie Pfützen oder Wasser in Regenrinnen zugefroren sind, brauchen Vögel auch eine extra Schale mit Wasser. Dabei muss aber keine teure Vogeltränke am Futterhaus stehen; ein Blumentopfuntersetzer oder ein alter Suppenteller eignen sich perfekt als Wasserstelle. Das Wasser sollte regelmäßig ausgetauscht werden.
